[Duvida] Abit KV8 Pro

Estão a espera de ter esta mb?! É que já tou farto do lack de AGP/PCI lock e esta mb têm muito bom aspecto, só que para variar em PT é sempre muito dificil de se arranjar :zanga:

"Considering this is an Abit board, and they're known for their overclocking features, the KV8 Pro is decidedly lacking in one major feature, a working AGP/PCI clock lock function. VIA recently showed off working AGP/PCI lock options on their K8T800 Pro reference boards, but Abit has not implemented this feature in their first shipping K8T800 Pro boards. Not having an AGP/PCI lock means that overclockability will be hampered, as raising the system's front side bus speed will also in turn raise the AGP and PCI clock speeds, which can be dangerous for system components. Abit runs their front side bus speed at a default of 204 MHz, up from the typical 204 MHz, to give their boards a slight performance edge. For the fairness of our benchmarks, we lowered this clock rate back down to an even 200 MHz.

Without a working clock lock, we were only able to push our Athlon64 3400+ (2.2 GHz) up to 2.35 GHz before instability started to kick in. The motherboard does have a wide range of voltage tweaking options, and gives the user full, manual control of their DDR timings, but without a working AGP/PCI clock lock, it's hard to fully utilize the overclockability with this platform. Since this board is still new, we're holding out hope that Abit could add this feature via a BIOS update. We'll see."

sinceramente.......com os novos chipsets........ha boards melhores que esta abit...........a abit tem um historial de boas boards.....mas sinceramente em s754........tão uma beka mazinhas (tirando as suas voltagens altas.....)

se houvesse uma zenith da chaintech com este socket (e as suas opçoes)....era lg a que eu escolhia....como n ha.....tlvz epox....n sei

as ultimas revisoes da mb que a abit está enviar para venda já possuem todos agp/pci lock e estão a recolher todas as anteriores, caso a pessoa assim o queira, e devolvem uma com pleno AGP/PCI lock.

Eram bom não era?! :P Já agora tambem mandava a minha K8V e eles davam um jeitinho, visto que são gajos porreiros... :teeth:

Mas isto aplica-se só ás primeiras rev's da KV8 Pro...

Dima tira-me esta duvida em relação a esta board, o Slider no forum da techzone faz referência que se esta board apresenta falhas no AGP/PCI lock a Abit esta a recebe-las em RMA para enviar uma board ao cliente com o AGP/PCI lock, confirma-se? Já agora quanto tempo costuma levar este procedimento? Porque se for assim podes contar com a minha compra dentro de pouco, porque os A64 socket 939 tão muito caros :S

Off-topic: Dima tenho de mandar a fonte em RMA testei com outra board e nada, depois manda-me uma mp com o procedimento sff. Fica bem!
