Following a wave of very revealing leaks, Nokia has today decided to give the green light for the announcement of its first Symbian^3-based product, the Q3-targeted N8 smartphone.
As detailed earlier today, the upcoming phone measures 113.5 x 59 x 12.9 mm and packs a 3.5-inch (640x360) OLED capacitive touchscreen, 256MB of RAM, 512MB ROM, 16GB of internal storage space, a microSD slot, a HDMI output, and a 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, xenon flash and 20x digital zoom that can record 720p video. Also included are the FM radio, GPS, an accelerometer, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, USB, Bluetooth 2.1, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a 1200mAh battery.
The N8 will be pre-loaded with the Ovi Maps software and will be available in dark grey, silver white, green, blue and orange, priced at 370 Euro before taxes and subsidies.
